How to Deal with Bad Customer Service (Samsung India) - Cursed4Eva
Crappy Customer Service was what I got from Samsung and this is how I dealt with it... I own a Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 since December. On the 22nd March 2012 my phone encountered USB issues as in it showed as charging even when it wasn't... I took it to the local Samsung authorized service center... Bill Number: XXXXXXXX QUADPRO TECHNOLOGIES No. 85/34, Arcot Road, Saligramam, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India 600093 0091-44-45344777/9841787177 quadprotechnologies@gmail.com 22nd March 2012 I was told that it was an USB issue and that it was due to moisture in the port, I told the service engineer that I am very careful and do not even set my phone down anywhere apart from the stand... He told me I need to pay Rs900 ($18) for repairs... I pointed out that this is a common issue as reported on XDA Forums and Android Forums but he did not accept, called me CARELESS and told me that I can either pay or take the phone to a DIFFERENT service center... I agreed to pay, though I feel paying $18 for a 3 month old phone is not something that would happen with say Apple... I was told I would receive my phone back on the 24th of March and I would be given a call... They would not even agree to give me a replacement initially and after asking for the manager I was given a standby phone (I own your flagship model Galaxy Note N7000 worth $700 and having to ask for a manager to get a $100 worth standby seems really odd) 24th March 2012 I never got the promised call and I tried calling the number on the leaflet and no one answered 26th March 2012 I went to the service center since no one answered the number on the service leaflet... The representative apologized and asked me to call on the 27th and gave me the other number 43544777 27th March 2012 I called and the representative had a hard time locating my service request, promised me a call back and I told her please don't be late and tell me "no engineers available" when you call back... I NEVER got the call back so I called her again in an hour and was told that the parts haven't arrived and she couldn't give me an ETA and I would have to try again tomorrow since the engineer had left for the day... 28th March 2012 I called again today and was informed it would take another 2-3 days since the phone is new and spare parts are not easily available... I have come to android from the iPhone and I have never received this kind of treatment from any Apple service center... This is your flagship phone that we are talking about and it really seems odd that no one seems to be taking any responsibility... This kind of service makes me reconsider the switch from Apple as this would never have happened with them... Once again please don't mistake this as a mail from a disgruntled customer, I am just so in love with the products from Samsung but am really disappointed in this kind of service and am a little worried on if and when am going to see my phone again, I really hope someone could take responsibility and help me out here...
