16 Amazing Hidden Spy Gadgets
Spies use these incredible gadgets to get all kinds of information and protect themselves from lipstick guns to wristwatch recorders Subscribe to American Eye http://goo.gl/GBphkv 8. Wristwatch Recorder Although it appears as a normal watch, many wouldn’t uncover it’s devious purpose. Tiny microphones were installed into this wristwatch in order to record audio and pick up on secret plans. Spies were equipped with this and it can be easily hidden under the agents sleeve. Recording key details of certain conversations has been key evidence in many cases. If you don’t trust someone, be sure to check their wristwatch for recorders. They could be hiding something. 7. Camera Ties This camera tie here looks like something James Bond wouldn’t mind keeping in his wardrobe. Male secret agents would insert small cameras like you see here, to the left of the tie and wear them around, hoping no one would notice. Recording equipment could also be installed making this tie a seriously sneaky spy gadget used by German Spies during the cold war. 6. Secret Handbag Hardware So what about the ladies? What else did they use? This handbag has a little extra hardware that was used with the sole purpose of espionage. What else would it be used for. Female obviously wouldn’t be wearing the ties, so they were equipped with these handbags, perfect for uncovering enemy plots. These could do a little more reconnaissance than your average bag from JC Penny. They were able to conceal portable radios, and even infrared cameras to take photos at night. 5. Robotic Catfish Instead of putting their cameras on animals, more recent gadgets actually disguise their gadgets as animals, in order to avoid detection. Meet Charlie. This unbelievable catfish seems stranger than fiction but was actually dreamt up by the CIA in 1970’s. This is what’s known as a UUV or unmanned underwater vehicle. It has more spy equipment than any catfish you’ve met in your life. It contains not only cameras but pressure hulls, ballistic, communications and even a propulsion system in the tail. You better hope this member of the CIA doesn’t swim up to your party boat any time soon. 4. Special Delivery Could the CIA be possibly reading our letters we send in the mail too? They certainly have the technology. This device was nicknamed the letter removal device and was used in World War 2 in order to read people’s mail without anyone knowing or disturbing the envelope. This could be inserted into the envelope without breaking the seal, then rolled around the letter to see. Some of these, even the wackiest conspiracy theorists couldn’t even think of! It’s hard to imagine having any privacy nowaday with all these spy devices available to CIA. 3. Insectocopter Someone would sound crazy if they said that dragonfly outside floating around was actually transmitting intelligence to the government. It turns out, that’s exactly what the government wants you think! This hovering insect drone is another device known as a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle or simply known as a UAV. It can pick up footage from wherever it decides to flap its wings. This one here is still like a fossil compared to our next one. 2. Pentagon Cyborg Beetle It really sounds like something straight out of horror film. Is there anything worse that being spied on by the government and creepy insects? The government, most likely suspects that you won’t go and investigate this one closely in case it’s real. This is modelled after a rhinoceros beetle and controlled by radio command. With a series of 6 electrodes, this rhino bug comes to life and successful experiments have already been conducted. Until the day comes when there’s more cyborg bugs than real ones, small radio controlled UAVs could be used to find victims in natural disasters or in collapsed buildings. 1.Suitcase Nuke Also known as a snuke, suitcase nukes can bring on massive amounts of destruction just something small enough to be placed in a backpack but still a little too bulky for a suitcase, despite it’s name.. The most frightening thing about these snukes, is that a lot them have mysteriously disappeared after they were developed by the United States and the Soviet Union during the cold war. The Russian design was about 50 to 60 pounds but in the case of an all out war, spies could have left these devices on American soil, and flee the area before the detonation. These have the capability of yielding about 4 kilotons, which is about half of the power of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. The spreading of the radiation will most likely be the what would do the most damage.
